Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name, case number, or other term entered in a search tool is sent to the third-party company operating that tool. The provider processes the request and returns its results. Phillips County Court Docket does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, the message may be retained long enough to read it, respond, and maintain necessary business records. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Normal server and analytics records can collect technical details when a page loads:
- Your device’s IP address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when supplied
- Date and time information for page requests
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help measure traffic, popular pages, and where visits end. Analytics services may combine this information into site-use reports. Browser controls can block or remove cookies, although doing so may change how parts of the service operate.
What We Do With This Data
Collected information is used for the following operating purposes:
- Keeping pages available and improving load performance
- Routing a search request to the selected outside provider
- Understanding which resources visitors use
- Finding security, reliability, and technical problems
- Supporting advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Phillips County Court Docket does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of Kansas court dockets or personal case information. It publishes general directions to Kansas CaseSearch, the Phillips County District Court Clerk, and other official custodians. Official events indexes and case records are governed by the Kansas Open Records Act where applicable and by Kansas Supreme Court Rules 21, 22, and 24. This resource is not a consumer reporting agency, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power search boxes that appear on content pages. Information entered there is processed under the provider’s privacy policy, retention rules, and sharing practices. Phillips County Court Docket does not control those practices. Review the displayed provider terms before submitting any search.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Kansas CaseSearch, Phillips County offices, Kansas Judicial Branch resources, legal information, or third-party services. Once a visitor follows an outside link, the destination’s privacy rules apply. Review them before providing personal details.
Advertising companies may use their own technology to measure activity across websites or select ads. That processing occurs through their systems and policies.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Search providers that process a query submitted to their tool
- Analytics vendors that measure traffic and site performance
- Advertising networks that place or measure advertisements
- Government or law-enforcement authorities acting under valid legal process
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for information under our control. No internet service, device, or transmission method is completely secure. Phillips County Court Docket therefore cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, or a security incident will never occur.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If information from a minor is identified, a request may be made for its deletion.
Your Data Rights
Rights can differ with a visitor’s residence and the law that applies. Kansas residents should note that the Kansas Open Records Act request provision concerns public records held by public agencies. It does not turn this private resource into a Kansas court custodian. Subject to applicable privacy and consumer-protection law, a visitor may:
- Request access to personal information held about that visitor
- Ask for inaccurate personal information to be corrected
- Request deletion when the law permits it
- Object to or opt out of certain processing where a right applies
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as practices, providers, or applicable requirements change. A revised version will be posted here with its effective date. Continued use after an update is subject to the posted policy.
